Local firm Jalboot sets sail overseas

Local marine firm Jalboot Holding has enjoyed a year of expansion overseas, diversifying its activities and commencing operations in the Maldives and the Far East, according to company officials.

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 18th Oct, 2018) Local marine firm Jalboot Holding has enjoyed a year of expansion overseas, diversifying its activities and commencing operations in the Maldives and the Far East, according to company officials.

Jalboot Holding is currently exhibiting at the 1st Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, which opened at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre yesterday. Established in 2013, the company is best-known locally for its boat tours around the island of Abu Dhabi.

According to Jalboot’s CEO Mohamed Roestali, "2018 has been an incredible year for the company and probably the most important since it was first established. Our decision to diversify and expand internationally has proven to be very well-timed as it has allowed us to solidify and future-proof our business by creating more revenue streams and potential opportunities to continue the diversification and growth.

"Our UAE business will always be at the heart of everything we do, but we’re also very proud to be an ambassador for the country by taking our business and our values into new international markets where we have found a huge appetite for partnership and collaboration."

Jalboot has now established itself as a fully-fledged Marine Services firm, offering marine construction, operation and management services, in the UAE and the Maldives, and expanding into Far East markets.

Through a partnership with iYacht, a global leader in yacht design based in Hamburg, Germany, Jalboot is also able to offer vessel design, construction, supervision and consultancy, with a wide range of specially-designed boats, constructed by selected shipyards in the UAE and abroad. It is also the exclusive local representative of a number of well-known brands, including Fjord and Mastercraft.

Jalboot has also established an arm offering integrated marina management, both in the UAE and overseas.

Rostali adds, "Our decision to diversify and expand internationally has proven to be very well-timed as it has allowed us to solidify and future-proof our business by creating more revenue streams and potential opportunities to continue the diversification and growth."

"Our UAE business will always be at the heart of everything we do, but we’re also very proud to be an ambassador for the country by taking our business and our values into new international markets where we have found a huge appetite for partnership and collaboration."

The company’s expanded portfolio of products and services is on display at its stand at the Boat Show. A particular attraction, the company says, are the cutting edge Virtual Reality machines that allow visitors to design the boat of their dreams.

The Jalboot Holding COO, Thomas Rebollini, says that, "Abu Dhabi is a hugely important market for us and a regional hub for the industry." He adds, however, that, "No business should ever stand still and we will be looking to continue our evolution over the next twelve months by expanding on the marine services we offer and stretching into related markets in new territories in the Far East."
