MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 18th October, 2018) Russia supports holding the third summit on Ukraine in the Normandy Four format, but insists that it should be well-prepared as the decisions of the previous summits are not being implemented, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
"We are working very closely with France in resolving the Ukrainian crisis, stressing the need for strict implementation of the Minsk agreements, a product of the joint work of the leaders of Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine. The time has come to hold the next summit in the Normandy Four format. There were two summits - in Paris in 2015 and in Berlin in 2016. We support the idea of holding a third summit," Lavrov said in an interview with RT France, Paris Match and Le Figaro.
The minister added, though, that the summit "must be well-prepared so that the leaders of the four countries would not feel embarrassed that the decisions of previous summits are not being implemented."
