Govt to establish Alhamra College for Performing Arts

The Punjab government has allocated funds in the new budget for establishment of Alhamra College of Performing Arts.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2018 ) :The Punjab government has allocated funds in the new budget for establishment of Alhamra College of Performing Arts.

The Punjab government has allocated Rs 2.4 billion for the Information and Culture Department with its main targets to establish performing arts college at Alhamra, The Mall, Lahore, according to the budget statistics.

Funds have also been allocated for the Artist Khidmat Cards for financial assistance of deserving artists in the province besides the establishment of Bhakkar Arts Council and upgradation of Open Air Theatre at Bagh-e-Jinnah Lahore.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has increasedRs 0.20 billion for the information and culture department.
