Women Entrepreneur Bill to be tabled before National Assembly in the upcoming session by Member National Assembly, Nafeesa Inayatullah Khan Khattak will positively impact the lives of vulnerable women through providing them micro- loans for running business and earning a respectable living.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2018 ) :Women Entrepreneur Bill to be tabled before National Assembly in the upcoming session by Member National Assembly, Nafeesa Inayatullah Khan Khattak will positively impact the lives of vulnerable women through providing them micro- loans for running business and earning a respectable living.

Talking to APP on Tuesday, Nafeesa Khattak said, the bill carries proposals to provide interest free loans to the vulnerable women including single, widows, divorcee, disable women and She-transgender for running their own businesses and get economic independence and stability.

In an interview on Tuesday, she said the bill also suggests exempting these vulnerable women from the legal restriction of running business in their own homes. "This bill will enable them to run business in their own home and get economic stability", he added.

Although some women are doing business in their homes but illegally so this bill also suggest giving this practice a legal cover to boost their confidence and help them excel.

The vulnerable women will be given proper No Objection Certificate (NOC) for running business in their homes as well as training, according to this bill.

Many of the widows posses their own homes after death of husband but they are compelled to sell that for running daily expenses of their children or they had no option left but to beg in front of others.

If these women are provided with respectable earning opportunity, they will be financially strong, she observed.

Nafeesa Khattak said it is very difficult to make both ends meet by the male bread earner of the family during the inflation and financial contribution of women is indispensable for living a prosperous life. "If a mother becomes financially independent, everyone in family respects her", she said.

She said the newly elected government has envisaged a number of plans for uplift of women in the country and prioritizing their education and health.

The government has decided to upgrade and modernize the 34 Basic Health Units (BHUs) in the outskirts of Federal capital as a pilot project to make these a model to replicate by provinces, she said.

Nafeesa Khattak said these BHUs will be merged with family planning centers which will reduce expenditures and will be equipped with latest equipments like ultrasounds and surgery facility.

Women belonging to far outskirts of capital are facing difficulties in reaching main hospitals so they will be provided all necessary facilities at BHU in their vicinity. "They will only have to access the big hospitals in case of major surgery or emergency", she said.

She said the present government is taking a lot of steps for uplift of women in distress as well as transgender to improve their living style.
