Anti-measles Campaign Launched In DHQ Hospital Hafizabad

HAFIZABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Oct, 2018 ) ::As many as 182,919 children between the age of six months and seven years will be administered anti-measles vaccine in the district from October 15 to 27.
While inaugurating the anti-measles campaign in the DHQ Hospital Hafizabad, MNA Ch. Shoukat Ali Bhatti and Deputy Commissioner Adnan Arshad Aulakh said that measles is a deadly disease and vaccination against it is inevitable to save the children from the disease.
They urged the parents to cooperate with the vaccination staff to get their children vaccinated against this disease.
The DC stressed upon the Health authorities to ensure comprehensive report of the vaccination on daily basis.
The Chief Officer Health Dr. Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry told them that 120 outreach teams, 42 union council Monitoring Officers, 171 trained paramedical staff and 2880 social mobilizers would visit every door in the district to ensure vaccination of all children between six month and seven years.
On this occasion the MNA said that all-out efforts were being made to give new look to the city and district by making plantation, improve sanitation, remove encroachments and retrieving state land from grabbers.
He said that he is pleased to know that the district administration under the supervision of DC has so far got back the possession of state land measuring 2478 kanals and 12 marlas worth Rs. 630 million from land grabbers.
He said that the campaign against land grabbers would continue. He further said that anti-encroachment campaign in commercial area would also be started shortly. He, however, said that the traders have been advised to remove encroachments themselves to save them from financial losses.
