National Peace Conference Held At USKT

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Oct, 2018 ) ::Speakers stressed the need for promotion of national harmony to establish durable peace besides weeding out terrorism and extremism from the country.

They added that everyone should come forward to play individual and collective role in establishing durable peace.

They stated this while addressing the participants of National Peace Conference held at the auditorium of University of Sialkot (USKT) here on Monday. Lahore based veteran journalist Mujeebur Rehman Shami presided over the event.

The representatives of the Muslims, Sikh, Hindu and Christian communities also attended the conference. Vice Chancellor of University of Sialkot (USKT) Dr. Ejaz Qureshi, CEO Rehan Younas, Chairman BoG USKT Faisal Manzur and local senior journalists were also present on this occasion.

While addressing the participants, Sikh Community's Leader former MPA Sardar Ramaish Singh Arora said every religion gave the lesson of peace, love, affection, brotherhood, tolerance and the respect of humanity.

Sardar Ramaish Singh Arora said the minorities were playing an active role in peace and economical and political stability.

Bonair-Swat based Hindu Community's Leader Dr. Araish Kumar said peace was vital for progress.

Chairman BoG USKT Faisal Manzur said the students and their teacher could also play their pivotal role in promoting national harmony for peace and national solidarity.

Vice Chancellor USKT Dr. Ejaz Qureshi said the Pakistani nation was peace-loving and wanted to have durable peace globally.
