SP Indicted In Model Town Case

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday indicted SP Dr Farrukh Raza in Model Town case.

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Oct, 2018 ) :An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday indicted SP Dr Farrukh Raza in Model Town case.

Earlier, Dr Farrukh Raza was produced before the ATC-II Judge Ejaz Awan, who indicted him in the case. However, the SP pleaded not guilty and contended to contest the charges.

At this, the court, adjourning the matter, summoned prosecution witnesses for recording their statements.

The court also exempted former inspector general of police Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera and 10 other senior police officials from appearance while allowing their applications for the purpose.

It is pertinent to mention here that the SP was arrested a few days ago from Lahore Airport. The court had already indicted 116 police officials including former inspector general of police Punjab Mushtaq Sukhera on a private complaint, filed by Idara Minhajul Quran, sister organisation of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek, for their trial on charges ofkilling its workers during 2014 Model Town incident.
