KMC Supports Mayor Karachi Hockey Cup

Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC)
will support the holding of Mayor Karachi Hockey Cup for promoting
sports activities in the city specially for reviving the national game.

will support the holding of Mayor Karachi Hockey Cup for promoting
sports activities in the city specially for reviving the national game.
This was stated by the Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar while talking
to a delegation of Karachi Hockey Association(KHA), which called on him
at his office on Monday, said a statement.
The KMC will provide all possible cooperation to the Karachi
Hockey Association in its endeavors to revive game of hockey at the
grass root level, he said.
The KHA's delegation was comprised of its Chairman Gulfaraz Khan,
President Asma Shah, and Secretary General Haider Hussain, Executive
body member and vice chairman DMC Central Shakir Ali, MNA Iqbal
Muhammad Ali, Azam Khan, Legal Advisor Javed Chattari, Senior V.
P Dr.
Majid, Member Women Wing Naheed Fatima and Beenish Muhammad Ali.
The delegation briefed the Mayor about various hockey events that
have been staged by the KHA over a period of two years.
The Mayor assured them all possible support and said that a
hockey ground of KMC will be handed over to the KHA for promotion of
hockey in the city.
