Federal Parliamentary Secretary Visits Islamia University Of Bahawalpur; Praises Varsity's Academic Development

Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Planning, Development and Reforms Kanwal Shauzab paid a visit to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. She held a meeting with Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Qasiser Mushtaq at Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus. Deans, Principal Officers and Principals of the University Colleges were also present on this occasion.
BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Oct, 2018 ) :Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Planning, Development and Reforms Kanwal Shauzab paid a visit to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
She held a meeting with Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Qasiser Mushtaq at Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus. Deans, Principal Officers and Principals of the University Colleges were also present on this occasion.
She praised academic, administrative and fiscal reforms besides fast-paced developmental projects in the university. She stressed on the need for university's leading role in socio-economic development of the region.
Through entrepreneurship, university students can generate job opportunities not only for themselves but for others too.
She ensured government's support for various projects of University Agriculture and Veterinary Colleges including cultivation of olives, moringa and aloe vera.
She also proposed university's role in uplift of Derawar Fort and Punjnad Head works as a tourist spot. Prof. Dr. Qaiser Mushtaq told the visiting parliamentary secretary that university has set up Bio-Diversity Park near Fort Derawar while a nursery has been recently established at Baghdad ul Jadeed campus to provide seeds and plants.
Deer Breeding Park at Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus is also beneficial for research as well as recreational point of view.
