PayPal to open up new avenues for Pakistan

The decision to introduce PayPal will pave the way for online businesses in Pakistan.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 15th October, 2018) The government has decided to introduce PayPal in the country.

The decision will pave the way for online businesses in Pakistan.

Punjab Information Technology board (PITB) chairman Dr Umar Saif has said that using the PayPal account will help Pakistan make trillions.

Only the freelancers earn Rs 80-90,000 in a year. If we add E-Commerce to it, the amount will further increase, he said.

Dr Saif further said that the Pakistani youth wants to work online. He said that 1.5 freelancers are currently working in Pakistan.

On the other hand, IT expert Ayesha Azhar also welcomed the decision. She said that this will prove to be very fruitful for Pakistan as it will add billions to the national economy.

Stressing on the need of an online payments system to promote IT sector, Federal Minister of Finance Asad Umar stated on Sunday that he was ready to catch the next flight to meet Paypal CEO and convince him to come to Pakistan.

Paypal Online Transaction is not available directly in Pakistan, making it one of the 30 countries where the service is not available.
