Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan later this week, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th October, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan later this week, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.
Putin said last week he was planning to go to Tashkent on a state visit and to have "extensive talks" with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
"Then [there will be] the Russian president's state visit to Uzbekistan. The week will be tightly packed, in terms of content and in terms of geography," Peskov told reporters.
According to the Uzbek side, Putin's visit is scheduled for Thursday and Friday.
A large number of documents are expected to be signed during the visit and the construction of a nuclear power plant will be launched.
