MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th October, 2018) Bavaria's Christian Social Union is leading this Sunday's election to the state parliament with 35.5 percent of votes, according to preliminary results.
The sister party of German Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democrats is trailed by the Greens with 18.5 percent and the Free Voters party with 11.5 percent, the Bavarian Radio said.
The anti-migrant Alternative for Germany (AfD) finished fourth with 11 percent and looks set to enter the state parliament for the first time.
Chancellor Merkel's other partner in the governing coalition, the Social Democrats (SPD), came fifth with 10 percent of the vote.
