Russia Records Ceasefire Breaches In Syrian Provinces Of Aleppo, Latakia - Military

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 13th October, 2018) The Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria said on Friday that it has registered a number of ceasefire violations in the Syrian provinces of Aleppo and Latakia over the past 24 hours.

"Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, there are still cases of ceasefire regime violation by illegal armed formations in the Idlib de-escalation zone ... Over the past day, terrorists attacked Safsafa (two times), Ikko, Rois-Almilq, Ruyset-Iskander in Latakia province, western outskirts and Castello district of Aleppo," Lt. Gen. Vladimir Savchenko, head of the center, said.

The center has also held one humanitarian operation over the past 24 hours, delivering almost 2 tonnes of food and 300 sets of warm clothing to the residents of the southern Quinetra province.

Moreover, people in the northern city of Aleppo have received a ton of fresh-baked bread from the Russian side.

Syria has been in a state of civil war since 2011, with the government forces fighting against numerous opposition groups and terrorist organizations. Russia along with Turkey and Iran are guarantors of the ceasefire in Syria.
