MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 12th October, 2018) NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will meet Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin in Brussels on Monday, the press release by the alliance said Friday.
"On Monday, 15 October 2018, the NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, will meet the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, H.E. Mr. Pavlo Klimkin," the press release read.
Last week, NATO chief said the alliance was helping Ukraine to establish a cyberincident response center to help counter hacking attacks on Ukrainian networks.
Kiev has been striving to join the alliance for years. In 2014, Ukraine relinquished its non-affiliation status, which prevented it from joining any bloc. In 2016, additional legislation was adopted to set Ukraine's interest in joining NATO as one of the key national priorities.
