Parts Of GB Receive First Snowfall Of Winter

Districts of Gilgit Baltistan received first snowfall of the winter season as Astore, Diamer and Skardu witnessed continuous snowfall since last 36 hours.

ASTORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Oct, 2018 ) :Districts of Gilgit Baltistan received first snowfall of the winter season as Astore, Diamer and Skardu witnessed continuous snowfall since last 36 hours.

The district headquarter of Astore, Eidgah and Gorikot have received snowfall up to one foot while in upper parts including Qamri, Minimarg, Burzal Top, Chilam, Kalapani and Mir Malik two to three feet snowfall was recorded.

Due to heavy snowfall in upper parts of Astore scores of tree were uprooted while the area of Galtar was also in the grip of heavy snowfall.

The snowfall has also caused Babusar Road closure for all vehicles while routine life was also disrupted on both sides of the road.
