St. Petersburg-based JSC "UEC-Klimov" aircraft engines designer, which is a part of Russia's Rostec state corporation, and Vietnam's Helicopter Technical Service Company have signed a distributorship agreement on service maintenance of helicopter engines, which provides for the establishment of an integrated logistical support center in Vietnam, Rostec press service said in a statement on Monday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 08th October, 2018) St. Petersburg-based JSC "UEC-Klimov" aircraft engines designer, which is a part of Russia's Rostec state corporation, and Vietnam's Helicopter Technical Service Company have signed a distributorship agreement on service maintenance of helicopter engines, which provides for the establishment of an integrated logistical support center in Vietnam, Rostec press service said in a statement on Monday.
"The companies will provide support for the exploitation of helicopter engines and main rotor transmissions in 12 Asian counties ... [The integrated logistical support facility] will comprise a center for helicopter engines middle renovation, a spare parts and units store and [JSC 'UEC-Klimov'] representation office," the statement said, adding that the center's operation was set to be authorized in December.
As part of the agreement, the Helicopter Technical Service Company will be distributing TV3-117 and VK-2500 engines, manufactured by the Russian company, to Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam.
JSC "UEC-Klimov," in turn, will be responsible for maintenance of power units, the deliveries of engines, parts of assemblies and spare parts, and training of the technical staff.
