Election Commission Of Pakistan Announces Bye-election Schedule For PP-217

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday announced the schedule of bye-election for the constituency of PP-217 Multan-VII on November 28.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Oct, 2018 ) :Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday announced the schedule of bye-election for the constituency of PP-217 Multan-VII on November 28.
According to ECP, the seat has become vacant due to denotification of Muhammad Salman as returned candidate from provincial assembly of Punjab and called upon the electors to elect a member to fill the seat from the said constituency.
It said the public notice will be issued by the Returning Officer (RO) on October 17 while the dates of filing of nomination papers with the RO by the candidates will be between October 19 to October 22.
It said the date of publication of Names of the nominated candidates will be October 23 while the last date for scrutiny of nomination papers by the RO will be October 26.
The last date for filing of appeals against decisions of the RO rejecting or accepting the nomination papers will be October 29.
The date of publication of revised list of candidates will be November 2 while the last date for withdrawal of candidature and publication of revised list of candidates will be November 3.
The date for allotment of election symbol to contesting candidates will be November 5.
Meanwhile, the commission has appointed Regional Election Commissioner, Multan as District Returning Officer and District Election Commissioner-I, Multan as Returning Officer while Assistant Commissioner (City), Multan and Deputy District education Officer (Elementary City), Multan have been nominated as Assistant Returning Officers for bye election in PP-217.
