Russian LNG Exports Rise by 72.5% to Some 950Mln Cubic Feet in January-August - Statistics

Russia increased its exports of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) by 72.5 percent up to 26.8 million cubic meters (some 950 million cubic feet) in January-August compared to the same period last year, the Russian Federal Customs Service's data showed on Thursday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th October, 2018) Russia increased its exports of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) by 72.5 percent up to 26.8 million cubic meters (some 950 million cubic feet) in January-August compared to the same period last year, the Russian Federal Customs Service's data showed on Thursday.

Russian revenues from the LNG exports rose 91.2 percent in the first eight months of this year, compared to the same period in 2017, totalling $3.77 billion.

In addition, natural gas exports saw a 7.6 percent year-on-year increase, reaching 148.5 billion cubic meters.

Russian revenues from the natural gas exports rose by 30 percent to $31.3 billion.

Russia also boosted its coal exports by 10.2 percent up to 126.95 million tonnes in January-August.

The coal exports revenue increased by 23.4 percent to about $10.6 billion in the first eight months of 2018.

According to the Federal Customs Service, Russia exported 210.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas worth of $38.1 billion in 2017.
