The Iranian military targeted the organizers of the recent terrorist attack in Ahwaz, which were on the eastern bank of the Euphrates in Syria, with ballistic missiles on Monday, the IRNA news agency reported citing Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force Commander Brig. Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh.
The missile attack was followed by strikes from several military drones at the positions of the terrorists, the commander added.
The terrorists' bodies are still under debris, so their total casualties are not yet known, he added.
The general said that the operation area was controlled by the US-led coalition, so it was impossible to use drones for reconnaissance, because the US side might warn terrorists so that they could leave the area.

The terrorist attack was reportedly claimed by Saudi-linked Patriotic Arab Democratic Movement in Ahvaz.
