MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th September, 2018) Russia urges the UN Security Council to promote the Korean peace process by encouraging the rivals to make steps toward each other, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Friday at the UN General Assembly.
"We welcome positive dynamics on the Korean peninsula, which follows the guidelines of the Russian-Chinese roadmap. It is important to encourage this process by making steps toward each other and by promoting in the UN Security Council the implementation of crucial agreements made by Pyongyang and Seoul," he said.
The Russian top diplomat added that Moscow would continue to push for a multi-lateral peace process in order to create a durable peace and security process in Northeast Asia.
