Putin to Pay 2-Day Official Visit to Uzbekistan on October 18-19 - Uzbek Ministry

Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit the Uzbek capital of Tashkent on October 18-19, where he will hold a meeting with his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Uzbek Foreign Trade Ministry said in a statement on Thursday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th September, 2018) Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit the Uzbek capital of Tashkent on October 18-19, where he will hold a meeting with his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Uzbek Foreign Trade Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

"On October 18-19 this year, a meeting between the leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Vladimir Putin, will take place in Tashkent," the ministry said in a statement.

According to the ministry, the first Russian-Uzbek forum on trans-regional cooperation will take place during Putin's official visit.

In June, Putin said during his meeting with Mirziyoyev on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation's meeting in Qingdao that he was seeking to make a visit to Uzbekistan in fall, with the Uzbek president adding that the visit was planned for October.
