Russia is ready to initiate in the UN Security Council proposals to support the peace process that began between Seoul and Pyongyang, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Wednesday.
UNITED NATIONS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 26th September, 2018) Russia is ready to initiate in the UN Security Council proposals to support the peace process that began between Seoul and Pyongyang, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Wednesday.
"We will certainly initiate proposals in the UN Security Council to support this process [of reconciliation on the Korean peninsula] between Seoul and Pyongyang," Lavrov said at a meeting with North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho.
Lavrov also thanked his counterpart for the hospitality he received during his visit to Pyongyang in June.
"I'll be waiting for you in Moscow," he said.
