ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2018 ) :Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Saturday while rejecting war mongering by ruling elite of India, in a tweet said everyone knew that strategy of the Indian government was to use hate mongering against Pakistan to bail out Prime Minister Narendra Modi after call for his resignation over French jets Rafael deal and to divert attention of Indian public from this mega corruption scandal.
While in a statement here, he said India was indulging in these kind of antics because of its internal chaos and pressure.
He said the world had seen the difference in the attitudes of Pakistan and India towards achieving peace.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was using the language of peace while India was using a threatening tone, he said adding, "We have extended our hand for peace. Peace is imperative for the betterment of the people of two countries and for prosperity in the region. As a responsible country, Pakistan is desirous of peace in the region." He said people of Pakistan should keep in mind that the statement of India had more to do with Rafale deal than with the peace offer made by Pakistan.
Rafale deal was basically $ 7.8 billion deal under which fighter jets were bought, he told.
The minister said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had become a focus of big corruption scandal and this time all his effort was that he should come out of this corruption scandal.
"He needs an excuse and he wanted to make his people fool by showing that relations with Pakistan are not good. The Indian Prime Minister wanted to distract attention of the people and divert it towards Pakistan." Fawad said all the groups in India that favour peace understand this and all the political parties understand this.
He said, "We reject this war hysteria by the ruling elite of India. We extended our hand for peace and we will continue to extend our hand for peace." "We are fighting for 70 years and millions of people laid down their lives for ourcountry. We know how to fight but as a responsible country, Pakistan isdesirous of peace," the minister added.
