ICRC-Friends of Paraplegics to hold Special Games from Sept. 26

The International Committee of the Red Cross, which is a humanitarian institution based in Geneva, Switzerland along with Friends of Paraplegics Peshawar is going to organize Special Games with the name of "IMPACT" to be starting from September 26 here at different venues of the Peshawar Sports Complex.

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2018 ) :The International Committee of the Red Cross, which is a humanitarian institution based in Geneva, Switzerland along with Friends of Paraplegics Peshawar is going to organize Special Games with the name of "IMPACT" to be starting from September 26 here at different venues of the Peshawar sports Complex.

This was stated by two international players who represented Pakistan in Paralympic Games in table tennis Ihsan Danish and Iltaf Ur Rehman while talking to APP on here. He said arrangements in this connection have already been given final touches.

They said that the basic aim and objective of the Special Games is find out new faces who have talent but could not find any platform to show their talent. He said all the special persons both male and female have been advised to register with Ihsan Danish or Iltaf Ur Rehman in the Qayyum Sports Complex. They players could also make their registration on the following telephone numbers - +92-3330998218 (Iltaf Ur Rehman), +92-333-9108295 (Ihsan Danish).

The players could make their registration in Table Tennis (male and female), Badminton (male and female), Wheel Chair Basketball (male and female), cricket (male and female), Wheel Chair Ludo (male and female).

They said that the position holders of these games would compete against other district in similar activities and out of that Games a team in different Games would be short-listed for the national.

The ICRC is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement along with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and 190 National Societies.

It is the oldest and most honored organization within the movement and one of the most widely recognized organizations in the world, having won three Nobel Peace Prizes in 1917, 1944, and 1963.
