Lawyers of Russian national Alexander Vinnik, who was arrested in Greece on fraud charges, are planning to examine whether criminal proceedings against him in France and the United States comply with local legislation and appeal against them, Vinnik's lawyer Timofey Musatov told Sputnik.
ATHENS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th September, 2018) Lawyers of Russian national Alexander Vinnik, who was arrested in Greece on fraud charges, are planning to examine whether criminal proceedings against him in France and the United States comply with local legislation and appeal against them, Vinnik's lawyer Timofey Musatov told Sputnik.
On Wednesday, the Greek Supreme Court delayed the review of appeals against Vinnik's extradition to France under a European warrant until October 17.
"French and US inquiries are clearly based on falsification of evidence, and their nature is unknown. We have accumulated a large number of violations committed by law enforcement agencies of France, Greece and the United States in a year, and now we will use all this to protect Alexander Vinnik," Musatov said.
