Corps Commander Lauds Sacrifice Of Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed (NH) For Defense Of Country

Corps Commander Rawalpindi Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar Wednesday visited Gilgit Baltistan and laid floral wreath on the grave of recipient of Nishan-e-Haider Halavdar Lalak Jan Shaheed and offered Fateha.
ASTORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2018 ) :Corps Commander Rawalpindi Lieutenant General Bilal Akbar Wednesday visited Gilgit Baltistan and laid floral wreath on the grave of recipient of Nishan-e-Haider Halavdar Lalak Jan Shaheed and offered Fateha.
He was accompanied by Force Commander Northern Areas Major General Saqib Mehmood Malik, Corps Commander Rawalpindi was presented a guard of honor by a smartly turned out contingent of Pak Army.
GB minister for Tourism Fida Khan Fida, Advisor on food Ghulam Muhammad and children of APS Hindor received the Corps Commander upon his arrival.
The Corps Commander in his short address said Havaldar Lalak Jan Shaheed was a national hero who sacrificed his life for the sake of the country, adding his sacrifices would always be remembered in golden words.
He said people of GB were hardworking and patriotic citizens who had great love and respect for their countrymen and added that their contributions could not be overlooked in restoring peace in Karachi.
He said that Gilgit Baltistan was peaceful part of the country, which was crucial factor for CPEC, adding the mega project would usher in socio-economic prosperity and lead to tourism development in the province.
Speaking on the occasion, GB Tourism Minister demanded establishment of Fauji Foundation Hospital and Cadet College in Ghizer and Corps Commander assured that these would be set up after consultation with army leadership.
Commander Corps Bilal Akbar was also taken round to Army Public school Hindor where he handed over a cheque of Rs100,000 each for library and Laboratory.
