Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan in his capacity as Chairman of the ETEA (Education Testing and Evaluation Authority) Board of Governors has re-scheduled the medical and dental colleges entry test for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the third time to 30th of September.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2018 ) :Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan in his capacity as Chairman of the ETEA (Education Testing and Evaluation Authority) board of Governors has re-scheduled the medical and dental colleges entry test for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the third time to 30th of September.
The decision was taken in the light of a summary moved by the Higher education Department of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said a spokesman for ETEA in a statement here on Wednesday.
Warnings of heavy rains and thunderstorms by the MET office for September 23, prompted the request for change of the date, he explained.
The difficulty in logistical arrangements for the test due to the security measures observed during "Aashoora Muharram ul Haram", was also cited as a reason for the proposed change in dates for the entry test, he added.
Students and parents should take note that the test will be conducted on the 30th September 2018 from 0900 till 1200 hours at Islamia Collegiate ground-Peshawar, Haripur University-Haripur, Grassy Ground Saidu Sharif-Swat, Gomal Medical College new building-Dera Ismail Khan, Abdul Wali Khan University Garden Campus-Mardan, Cadet College-Kohat, and Malakand University Chakdarah-Lower Dir.
Students should report on time to the same centers that were allotted to them previously.
As per previous practice, the students should get a print of their roll number slip and paste their fresh picture on the slip.
Acting Vice-Chancellor KMU Prof. Dr. Jawad Ahmad has re-iterated KMU's commitment to a smooth conduct of the test. He said that the KMU is mindful of the extraordinary circumstances that the candidates and their parents have had to face due to the re-scheduling of the test this year.
He explained that these measures have been taken to conduct the test in desirable conditions to give the candidates the best possible environment to take the test, the spokesman concluded.
It merits a mention here that the entry test for admission into public sector medical and dental colleges has been rescheduled for the third time this year. The ETEA test was first scheduled for July 15 this year and was postponed when the inclement weather and heavy storms at some test centres in the province uprooted the arrangements at the nick of time.
Similarly the test was rescheduled for August 19 and declared null and void by the FIA probe team after leakage of the papers on social media and as such the test for again fixed for September 23, 2108 but against cancelled till September 30 due to unfriendly weather report of the MET office for the said day.
