Russia's Rosoboronexport Launching Exposition at South Africa Defense Forum - Statement

Ussian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport said in a statement that it would open an exposition of Russia-made military equipment at South Africa's aerospace and defense exhibition which kicks off in the city of Tshwane later on Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th September, 2018) Russian state arms exporter Rosoboronexport said in a statement that it would open an exposition of Russia-made military equipment at South Africa's aerospace and defense exhibition which kicks off in the city of Tshwane later on Wednesday.

"Rosoboronexport, a member of the Rostec Corporation, is to set up a joint Russian exposition at Africa Aerospace & Defense 2018, an international conference and exhibition of military equipment for all services, [which will] take place at Waterkloof Centurion AFB in Pretoria, South Africa, on September 19-23," the statement read.

More than 280 items are on the list of Russia-made military equipment to be presented at the exhibition, the statement said.

Russia's exports to the region mainly focus on aviation equipment, including MiG-29M/M2 multirole fighter, and Yak-130 combat trainer and Mi-171Sh military transport helicopter, Rosoboronexport noted.

Moreover, Rosoboronexport said it also expected foreign delegations to show interest in Russia's BTR-80A/82A armored personnel carrier and Tigr special-purpose police vehicle.
