NEW DELHI (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th September, 2018) India expects a business delegation from Russia to arrive in the country during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to New Delhi in early October, Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu said on Wednesday.
"The business delegation will be here on 4-5th [of] October, when will be the visit of President Vladimir Putin. Business delegation is coming," Prabhu told reporters.
The Indian minister added that he considered the Russian-Indian relations unique, and that a special economic zone, exclusively for Russia, could be created in the country.
Prahbu voiced his great hopes for the industry-related cooperation between the two countries.
Shri Deepak Bagla, the CEO of Invest India, the country's investment promotion agency, told reporters that 40 Russian companies were interested in investing into projects of 17 sectors of the Indian economy, while they used to invest in just six or seven sectors before Invest India launched a special department for cooperation with Russia in 2017.
