Seoul, Pyongyang Agree To Create Joint Military Commission - Agreement

SEOUL (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th September, 2018) North Korea and South Korea have agreed to work toward creating a joint military commission to solve the issue of mutual trust, according to the military agreement signed by the two countries in Pyongyang on Wednesday.

The agreement was signed by the defense ministers of the two countries in the presence of South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

"Both sides have decided to discuss specifically and resolve issues related to setting up and functioning of a joint military commission of the South and the North," the document read.

Measures to increase mutual trust will also include further establishment of a hotline between military chiefs of North Korea and South Korea.
