Teaching Hospitals Directed To Appoint Special Officer In Emergency Wards

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Sep, 2018 ) :Secretary Health Punjab Saqib Zaffar has directed all teaching hospitals to improve their emergencies besides appointing a special officer in emergency wards to run administrative matters.
He was chairing a meeting of Vice Chancellors of Medical Universities, Principals of Medical colleges, Deans and Medical Superintendents of teaching hospitals held here on Tuesday.
Particularly emergency wards should be given proper attention, said Secretary Health.
It was decided in the meeting that a special officer will be deputed for emergency wards. The officer would be authorized and responsible for all the administrative matters of the Emergency Ward.
Saqib Zaffar directed Medical Superintendents of teaching hospitals to make visit of emergency ward at evening and make sure provision of necessary health facilities. "Come up with concrete proposals to be discussed in the next meeting to be held after 5 days", he further directed.
