At least two Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in clashes with Israeli troops on the border with the Gaza Strip, spokesman for the Gaza Health Ministry Ashraf Kidra told Sputnik.

"As a result of Israeli aggression, two Palestinians were killed in the north of the Gaza Strip today, another 46 were injured," Kidra said.
Earlier in the day, the spokesman said that an Israeli airstrike in the southern part of the Gaza Strip had claimed the lives of another two Palestinians.
The long-existing tensions in the Gaza Strip have escalated since late March, when Palestinians launched weekly protest rallies at the border.
