Minister Suspends District Officer Zakat, Issued Show Cause Notice

Provincial Minister for Zakat and Ushr, Shaukat Ali Lalika has issued orders of suspension of District Officer Zakat Rawalpindi and issued show cause notice to District Officer Attock on the charges of non-provision of funds to deserving persons.
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Sep, 2018 ) :Provincial Minister for Zakat and Ushr, Shaukat Ali Lalika has issued orders of suspension of District Officer Zakat Rawalpindi and issued show cause notice to District Officer Attock on the charges of non-provision of funds to deserving persons.
He issued these orders while presiding over a meeting of Rawalpindi division Zakat committees here Tuesday as both officials failed to form local Zakat committees in their districts.
He said provision of Zakat fund to the needy in time is the responsibility of the Zakat department officials as government is the guardian of this amount.
The Minister said that no irregularity will be tolerated in the distribution of funds for Mustahqeen.
Later, he visited the Vocational Training Institute Kartarpura and inquired from students about the training being provided to them. He also directed officials to provide him the details of the audit report of the last three years' funds.
Administrator Zakat and Ushr Punjab Yousaf Butt and officials of Rawalpindi and Attock Zakat department were present on the occasion.
