KAYSERI (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Sep, 2018 ) , Security forces arrested two suspects in central Turkey for alleged links to the Daesh terror group, a local police source said on Tuesday.
Counter-terror squads carried out an early morning raid in Kayseri province of central Anatolia to nab the suspects, said the source on condition of anonymity.
The suspects were Iraqi national Abdulhaliq Kurdi and his son Mehdi Kurdi, it added.
Kurdi was known as so-called 'Sinjar military head' of the terrorist group, while his son was active in Tal-Afar for Daesh, according to the source.
More than 300 people have lost their lives in Daesh-claimed attacks in Turkey so far, where the terror organization has targeted civilians in suicide bomb, rocket and gun attacks.
Turkish security forces have pursued a long-running campaign to cleanse Turkey of Daesh terrorists.
