Ongoing Development Projects Be Completed Timely: Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman

Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman on Tuesday directed the concerned authorities to ensure that development projects were completed within scheduled time frame.
GILGIT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Sep, 2018 ) :Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman on Tuesday directed the concerned authorities to ensure that development projects were completed within scheduled time frame.
Chairing a high-level meeting, he was of the opinion certain tactics including late approval or raising unnecessary objections caused delay in development projects, thus he directed the secretary planning to avoid such delaying tactics in order to complete the development schemes timely.
He said no compromise would be made on standard of work and directed the planning department to put in place an effective monitoring mechanism to ensure quality work on the ongoing development schemes in the GB.
He said that concerned departments should depute filed officer at the project site in order to address issues on the spot and ensure smooth progress of schemes.
He said that the provincial government was taking concrete measures for promoting technical education and in this regard technical institutions had been established to equip the youth with technical skills in line with market's requirements.
The GB CM also took notice of delay in completion of clean drinking water projects and added that pace of such projects should be accelerated to provide clean drinking water to the citizens.
