Shahid Afridi calls on UK authorities to discuss his NGO’s projects

Afridi discussed foreign relations and overall collaboration between the two countries besides the projects of his welfare organisation.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 17th September, 2018) Former captain and all-rounder of Pakistan cricket team, Shahid Afridi has recently been in news for his welfare work.

He recently called on the UK authorities, including the UK Deputy High Commissioner and the UK government’s MP.

Afridi discussed foreign relations and overall collaboration between the two countries besides the projects of his welfare organisation.

Sharing the pictures on his social media, Afridi wrote, “An amazing evening with @ElinMBurns, UK Deputy High Commissioner & Trade Director & @Rehman_Chishti, MP & Gov. PM Trade Envoy UK. Discussed foreign relations & overall colloboration between the two countries & @SAFoundationN projects as together we all are #HopeNotOut @ZAtalks”

After retiring from cricket, Shahid Afridi is running his welfare organization named Shahid Afridi Foundation. The NGO aims to improve the lives of the underprivileged communities through various efforts, focusing the state of healthcare and education within the country and providing clean and safe drinking water to the poor.

The Twitter account of Shahid Afridi Foundation says that it works "for the less privileged to give them what we can to keep their #HopeNotOut".

Afridi’s humanitarian efforts have been appreciated at home and abroad.

Earlier, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton also extended best wishes for the star cricketer and supported Shahid Afridi Foundation.
