Rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions), upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions), Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Multan, D.G khan, Zhob, Bannu, D.I Khan divisions.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Sep, 2018 ) :Rain-thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions), upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha divisions), Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Multan, D.G khan, Zhob, Bannu, D.I Khan divisions.
According to the Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD), hailstorm and duststorm are also likely in sub-mountainous areas of Punjab, KP and Kashmir during the forecast period while hot and humid weather is expected in other parts of the country.
Moist currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating upper parts of the country. A westerly wave is also present over upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 36 hours, Muhammad Farooq official of met office told APP.
Rain-thundershower occurred at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Hazara divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Malakand division and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Weather remained hot and humid in other parts of the country.
Rain recorded during last 24 hours remained: Islamabad (A/P 32mm, Saidpr 32mm, Golra 17mm, Bokra 14mm, Z.P 05mm), Gujranwala 20mm, Mandi.Bahudin 15mm, Gujrat 12mm, Sialkot (A/P 11mm, City 02mm), Muree, Jhelum 11mm, Mangla 07mm, Rawalpindi (Chaklala 05mm, Shamsabad 04mm), Kashmir: Kotli 18mm, Rawalakot 07mm, Garhidupta 03mm, Muzaffarabd 01mm, KP: Balakot 16mm, Kakul 10mm, Lowr Dir 05mm, Malmjabba 03mm, Saidu Sharif 01mm, Gilgit-Baltistan: Astore 01mm.
Highest temperature recorded on Friday were: Islamabad 31 centigrade (C), Quetta 36 C, Muzaffarabad 33 C, Peshawar 36 C, Lahore 35 C, Karachi 30 C, Murree 22 C, Faisalabad 36 C, Multan 34 C, Sargodha 35 C, Hyderabad 35 C , Dalbandin 43 C, Sibbi 43,C, Nukkundi 42 C, Turbat 42 C, Bhakkar42 C, Noorpurthal 42,C.
