VLADIVOSTOK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th September, 2018) A commercial freight route joining China's northeast Hunchun city, the urban locality of Zarubino in Russia's Primorsky Territory and the port city of Ningbo in eastern China will be launched on Friday, Bayin Chaolu, the secretary of the Jilin provincial committee of the Chinese Communist Party, said.
"An important event for our regions will take place on September 14 - the launch of the Hunchun-Zarubino-Ningbo route," Bayin said at a meeting with Andrei Tarasenko, acting head of Primorsky Territory, held on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
Bayin added that the sides signed agreements worth $800 million at the forum.
According to Tarasenko, the commercial freight route will be launched as part of the international transport corridor Primorye-2, which is expected to run through the territory of the Free Port of Vladivostok.
