ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 11th Sep, 2018) The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a delegation from South Africa discussed various investment and cooperation opportunities and the means of developing the economic relations between both sides.

The discussion took place during a meeting between Abdullah Ghareer Al Qubaisi, Deputy Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in his office at the chamber’s premises, and Saad Cachalia, Ambassador of South Africa to the UAE, and his delegation.

Al Qubaisi stated that the exceptional relations between the two countries have created opportunities for their companies and institutions to strengthen their cooperation in launching economic and investment projects in South Africa. He also pointed out that the past few years have witnessed a noticeable rise in the presence of Emirati companies in South Africa.

Al Qubaisi noted that the chamber will prioritise its efforts to improve the economic and investment relations between companies and institutions from Abu Dhabi and South Africa, as well as promote development and growth and advise its private sector members, by researching about promising investment sectors that are part of the business environment of South Africa.

Cachalia expressed his happiness at representing his country in the UAE while affirming that it is a model country and has a prestigious regional and international stature, thanks to the wise policies of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also commended Abu Dhabi, which, he said, has the components needed for a sophisticated tourist city.

The Government of South Africa aims to overcome the obstacles facing Emirati investors, intensify its cooperation and coordination with the chamber, and benefit from excellent local services, Cachalia said in conclusion.
