Russian Aerospace Forces Can Assist Syrian Troops If West Strikes Syria - Lawmaker

The Russian Aerospace Forces can assist the Syrian troops if the Western coalition decides to launch strikes on Syria over the "chemical attack" provocation in the Idlib province, Russian uppers house's information policy commission member Igor Morozov told Sputnik.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th September, 2018) The Russian Aerospace Forces can assist the Syrian troops if the Western coalition decides to launch strikes on Syria over the "chemical attack" provocation in the Idlib province, Russian uppers house's information policy commission member Igor Morozov told Sputnik.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Center for Syrian Reconciliation said that filming of a staged provocation with the alleged use of chemical weapons had begun in Syria's Idlib province.

"Even if [Western countries] begin to attack Syria, only those who orchestrated the chemical attack will believe in it. But this does not mean that the coalition will not strike. The chemical attack is an entourage, attempt to justify one's actions ... The Syrians' response will target, first of all, the militants. But I do not rule out that our Aerospace Forces can support them. But only if the Western Coalition begins [the attack]," Morozov said.
