The police of Rhone department told Sputnik that they have detained the suspect who drove his car on the Lyon airport runway on Monday.
MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th September, 2018) The police of Rhone department told Sputnik that they have detained the suspect who drove his car on the Lyon airport runway on Monday.
"The incident left no victims or injured people. Therefore no investigation has been opened by the Lyon prosecutor's office," a representative of the prefecture of Rhone departments said.
Earlier in the day, the driver caused several incidents moving at a high speed along the A46 highway and then crushing the tollgates and forcing his way to the airport. The vehicle was followed by a dozen of police cars. The police opened fire and intercepted the driver shortly after. No one was injured in the car chase.
