Swedish Ruling Bloc Leading In General Election With 40.6% Of Votes - Election Commission

STOCKHOLM (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th September, 2018) The ruling bloc of the Swedish Social Democratic Party (SAP), the Green Party and the Left Party is currently winning the country's general election with 40.6 percent of votes, while the opposition alliance of the center-right parties gets 40.2 percent of votes after 80 percent of ballots were counted, the Swedish Election Commission said.

The center-right bloc includes the Moderate Party, headed by Ulf Kristersson, the Center Party, led by Annie Loof, the Liberals party, headed by Jan Bjorklund, as well as Christian Democrats, headed by Ebba Busch Thor.

The anti-immigrant Sweden Democrats party, which is not a member of any coalition, currently receives 17.7 percent of votes, according to the commission.
