MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th September, 2018) The United States will deploy approximately 1,500 additional soldiers to Germany to ensure NATO and European security, US Ambassador in Berlin Richard Grenell said on Friday.
"US Army announced today that it will send approximately 1,500 additional soldiers to Germany by 2020, adding to the more than 33,000 American troops already on German soil," Grenell said in a statement published in his Twitter blog.
The servicemen, who work to "strengthen NATO and European security," will arrive together with their families, the diplomat said.
Grenell also expressed his gratitude for people of Germany for "their incredible spirit and partnership in welcoming all the American men and women lucky enough to be stationed in Germany."
