The US-led coalition has started an exercise in eastern Syria aimed at improving counterterrorism operations against the Islamic State (IS, outlawed in Russia) terrorist group, the Central Command said in a press release on Friday.
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th September, 2018) The US-led coalition has started an exercise in eastern Syria aimed at improving counterterrorism operations against the Islamic State (IS, outlawed in Russia) terrorist group, the Central Command said in a press release on Friday.
"Operation Inherent Resolve Coalition forces kicked-off an exercise in eastern Syria to hone their warfighting skills for counterterrorism operations Sept 7," the release said.
The release added that the coalition is deconflicting the exercise with Russia to prevent miscommunication or a rise in tensions.
