German Chancellor Angela Merkel will hold a one-day working visit to the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius on September 14, during which she will hold talks with the presidents and the heads of governments of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, German government's spokesman Steffen Seibert said on Friday
BERLIN (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th September, 2018) German Chancellor Angela Merkel will hold a one-day working visit to the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius on September 14, during which she will hold talks with the presidents and the heads of governments of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, German government's spokesman Steffen Seibert said on Friday.
"On September 14, Chancellor Angela Merkel will arrive on a working visit in Vilnius, Lithuania. The chancellor will hold talks with the presidents and the heads of governments of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia there," Seibert said at a press briefing.
He added that the talks would focus on the bilateral, regional, as well as European political and security issues.
According to Seibert, Merkel is also planning to visit the German-led multinational battalion battle group, deployed in central Lithuania's town of Ruklay in accordance with NATO's Enhanced Forward Presence program.
