Moscow Hopes London to Begin Dialogue With Russia on Skripal Case at Some Point in Time

Moscow hope that at some stage London will begin a dialogue with Russia to investigate the poisoning incidents in the United Kingdom, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Friday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th September, 2018) Moscow hope that at some stage London will begin a dialogue with Russia to investigate the poisoning incidents in the United Kingdom, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Friday.

On Wednesday, UK authorities said they had identified Russian nationals Andrey Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov as the suspects in the Salisbury attack case. Moreover, UK Prime Minister Theresa May said Russian military intelligence was behind the poisoning.

"Despite the fact that all this was done in an unacceptable manner, we were essentially given an ultimatum, the Russian Federation continued the dialogue, in fact it was a monologue that continues with the United Kingdom. In the course of this monologue, although we hope that at some stage a dialogue will begin, a large number of documents have been sent to London," Zakharova told reporters.

The spokeswoman stressed that Moscow considered the London's accusation against Russia in refusing to cooperate in investigating the poisoning incidents a "blatant disinformation."

"We did not receive even formalistic responses on many of the requests that we have sent. So, when Theresa May, the UK prime minister, says that Russia was asked to answer some questions, report and so on, and Russia behaved non-constructively, lied and so on, this is not only untrue, it is outright disinformation," she said.
