Russia is willing to hold consultations in the United Nations Security Council regarding the poisoning of former Russian intelligence officer Sergey Skripal in the British city of Salisbury, Russian Ambassador to the UN Vassily Nebenzia said on Thursday.
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th September, 2018) Russia is willing to hold consultations in the United Nations Security Council regarding the poisoning of former Russian intelligence officer Sergey Skripal in the British city of Salisbury, Russian Ambassador to the UN Vassily Nebenzia said on Thursday.
"We confirm our readiness to conduct consultations in coordination with bilateral consular consultations from December 2, 1965 and the European Convention on Mutual Legal Assistance on Criminal Cases," Nebenzia told the Security Council.
He added that Russia appeals to all members of the Council to support the consultations.
