The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has no comments on discussions regarding a possible new line of credit for Ukraine, the fund's spokesman Jerry Rice said on Thursday.
WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th September, 2018) The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has no comments on discussions regarding a possible new line of credit for Ukraine, the fund's spokesman Jerry Rice said on Thursday.
"I have no comments on the specifics," Rice told reporters at a press briefing in Washington.
Rice confirmed that the IMF staff mission began a visit to Ukraine that will continue for about two weeks.
"Discussions will cover a range of the issues and policies as usual," he said.
Rice recalled a previous IMF statement that said the mission would "discuss recent economic developments and next steps." This includes financial assistance from the IMF in support of policies to maintain macroeconomic stability and keep the economy on the path toward sustainable growth, he said.
