The US delegation has arrived at the Hydroaviasalon International Exhibition and Scientific Conference on Hydroaviation in Russia's Gelendzhik, Beriev Aircraft Company Director General Yuri Grudinin said on Thursday.
GELENDZHIK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th September, 2018) The US delegation has arrived at the Hydroaviasalon International Exhibition and Scientific Conference on Hydroaviation in Russia's Gelendzhik, Beriev Aircraft Company Director General Yuri Grudinin said on Thursday.
"The Hydroaviasalon is attended by the delegations of the United States, Australia, Chile, China, Mexico. We are doing our best to boost cooperation in the area of hydroaviation," Grudinin told reporters.
The official noted that the company was working on promoting the Be-200 amphibious aircraft at the US market.
"We are working on promoting the [Be-200] aircraft at the US market," Grudinin said.
The Be-200 aircraft was designed by the Beriev Aircraft Company and built by the Irkut Corporation, both part of the Russian United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). The airplanes are currently used by the Russian Emergencies Ministry in firefighting, patrolling and search and rescue operations. The aircraft has a capacity of 12,000 liters (3,170 gallons) of water and is able to transport 42 tonnes of cargo.
Hydroaviasalon kicked off in Russia's Gelendzhik on Thursday and will run through Sunday. The international airshow, held once in two years, is organized by the Russian Industry and Trade Ministry and hosted by the UAC.
