UK Refused to Provide Data on Salisbury Suspects to Moscow - Russian Foreign Ministry

In response to the Russian Foreign Ministry's request on providing personal data of the men whom London had accused of perpetrating March's attack on Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury, London refused to hand over any materials on the case, the ministry's spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th September, 2018) In response to the Russian Foreign Ministry's request on providing personal data of the men whom London had accused of perpetrating March's attack on Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury, London refused to hand over any materials on the case, the ministry's spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, the UK Crown Prosecution Service said that it had sufficient evidence to charge two Russian nationals, Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, of the Salisbury nerve agent attack.

"UK Ambassador [Laurie Bristow] said that the United Kingdom would provide no data... London has refused to provide any information on the case, including passport numbers, patronymic Names, personal data and so on," Zakharova said.

She noted that the UK authorities should have fingerprints of the two men as any Russian nationals going to the United Kingdom need to provide them to get an entry visa.

She added that Moscow hopes that the requested data would be eventually provided by the Interpol.
